Geoff Parkinson is a remarkable man in this world. He is his wife’s EVERYTHING, soul mate that has been taken away from her so suddenly and so soon.

We never called each other by name, always calling by nickname and sweet names. Therefore, I can not write his name on this website. I can only refer to him as 'hubby'.

Hubby was born to working class family, had an older brother, younger brother and a sister. They lived throughout their childhood in Hastings, East Sussex. Hubby went to Hillcrest School in Hastings and was a top pupil. He had 'A' level at Geography.

He used to go fishing with his father regularly. On one fishing day with his father and a family friend, a terrible accident happened. Hubby was helping to tie down their boat, and an anchor went right through his leg. You could see through into his flesh, all the flesh on his leg was torn. He had many operations on his leg, and doctors removed a piece of skin graft from his thigh  to cover his leg. He was left with a large scar on his sexy legs.

During the summer holidays him and his brothers used to help their father with decorating jobs. Hubby decorated our house downstairs, and the results were better than any professional painters. There is not even a single splosh, nor lines that are left from a paint brush. He learnt so many usefull skills from his father.

Hubby used to go kayaking, he says the raugher the sea the better.

Hubby started to work from a young age, 13 years old. He worked in the fire brigade for fifteen years, becoming a Station Commander working across all the divisions. After that he left to work in London at Xchanging as a HSE Manager.  In 2008 he took an opportunity to work in Kazakhstan in oil & gas, where he met his wife. He started as a Behavioural Safety  Advisor. He designed and redesigned from his  predecessor, behavioural safety & culture development programmes.

Then he was promoted to Head of Behavioural Safety and Incident Investigation. In 2014 he was promoted to HSE Offshore Manager.

He always supported his colleagues, and was very well known for his funny character. He was always keen to help his colleagues to progress and assisted them in gaining new positions by recommending them for various posts.

He took a keen interest in shooting when he was six and used to go out with his father. His father was an engineer designing guns. He also loved shooting vermin on the farms.

Hubby’s favourite shoot is wood pigeons, he says they fly from different directions and you can’t predict what they are going to do. From driven shooting he likes partridges. He says they are fast and he likes high birds.

He loves animals, treats them with compassion. He had a cat named Garfield, a ginger boy. Garfield was with him all the time, in all hubby's up and down period of his life. When he was leaving for Kazakhstan he had to leave Garfield in the UK, which broke his heart. Garfield died aged twenty two, hubby says Garfield just didn't know how old he was, thats why he stayed for so long.

Very excited cleaning his father's gun for the first time.

Hubby was working as a tree surgeon whilst he was studying at Oxford University. He performed garden landscaping work for Michael Caine.

In 2002 he joined SARAID (Search And Rescue Assistance In Disaster) team. He went to Pakistan to help with the earthquake in 2005.

Also the Ice Rink collapse in Germany in 2006.

The team members said that they learnt excellent skills from him and enjoyed his wicked sense of humour.  In 2005 he was interviewed on the news for his participation in the rescue effort during the New Orleans flood .

Throughout his earthily life he met powerful people, such as Ambassadors and famous people. He was lucky to dine with the Royal Family. He says that he was hungry afterwards. As he was so busy talking during the dinner and as soon as the Queen finished, all the plates were taken away.

He is soooo romantic husband, sending flowers to his 'wifey' every week, twice a week most of the time. That made my colleagues jealous. Taking her to beautiful places for holidays, also arranging surprise trips on a whim. He did surprise me on number of occasions by coming home earlier than planned, which made me ecstatic. He spoiled me excessively with treats, cuddles, love letters, silliness, fun.

Hubby bought a life to everything, hubby brought me lots of soft toys making them come alive with voices and characters of his imagination. Hubby's friend Simon (a pocked sized elephant) was well known at work and promoted to a supervisor :-). You can see some of the pictures in gallery section of this website.

Hubby is his 'wifey's' whole world, soul mate, great lover, best friend, and extremely supportive gentle man! He is the perfect man that every woman dreams about. The greatest husband, understanding, attentive and a real gentleman. He is a superb lover, knows everything about giving pleasure.

He is a very handsome man, even a waiter in one of the restaurants in Italy called him 'cute'! Everywhere we go all the women try to flirt with him, but they can see how much we love each other and they don't stand a chance!

Hubby spent his earthily life helping people, supporting them and lifting their spirits with his wicked jokes. He is a very funny man, always having a witty line for everything, every situation, to everyone. I have  never heard him repeating the same jokes, he comes up with hilarious things everytime. I only wish I could remember his jokes, but I guess I am not just that funny.

He gets on with eveyone, from children, teenagers, adults to old people. My nieces and nephews love him, even though they don't speak the same language. Teenagers love talking to him and relate to him.

He does not like seeing sad people, he always tries to make them smile. He puts people first, supporting them with anything and everything and never asking or expecting anything in return. He is just a light that brightens up everybody’s life. He touches everyone’s life, influences them and gives valuable advice.

He is a wonderful Father to his son and daughter. Although, he was away every other month from home, he was always contacting his children: skyping, telephoning and emailing. He is always there for them, and he would go and see them as soon as he arrives home. The best friend you could wish for.

Hubby is a very intelligent man, there is nothing he does not know about. He has degrees from:

Oxford University – Bachelor Science in Arboriculture and Associated Botanical Sciences.  Leicester University – Post Graduate Diploma in Risk, Crisis & Disaster Management.

Leicester University – MSc in Risk, Crisis & Disaster management.

He had ‘A’ grade in geography at school, and became a fellow member of Royal Geographical Society.

Fellow member of International Institute of Risk & Safety Management.

Member of Institute of Occupational Safety & Health.

Fellow Member of Institute of Civil Protection & Emergency Management.

Member of Institute of Fire Engineers.

The 22nd January was a normal day, hubby was going shooting to one of his favourite places and I was going to work. I couldn't come on that day with hubby, because we were planning holidays throughout the year, so we decided to save my annual leave. Now, I wish we haven't done that.

I won't go in details here. Hubby passed over to the spiritual world so quickly. It happened all so fast, nobody was able to do anything. People at the shoot were working on him giving first aid before a doctor arrived. The doctor announced that the second he collapsed he was gone. Why is life so unfair? It didn't give him a chance to fight. Why? Yet, horrible people stay in this world wasting oxygen. Lovely people like my hubby go so quickly. We had many plans for our future together, we were soooo happy together.

I know all these things to be all too true, because I am the 'wifey'. I am Mrs Narkiz Geoff Parkinson loving, loyal and devoted wife.
